DESCRIPTION:Diversity & Cultural Competence Train the Trainer\nNH Health & Equity Partnership\nConcord\, NH\nThis training is designed to help professionals who want: \n\nto start or enhance cultural competency initiatives in their organizations\nto include proven cultural competency training as part of their curriculum\nto understand how to design and deliver a quality cultural competency program\n\nAnd also diversity and cultural competency trainers who want: \n\nto enhance their facilitation skills for potentially difficult conversations\nto participate in a statewide network of cultural competency trainers\n\nDays 1 and 2  (January 18\, 19\, 2018)  Daily 8:30 am – 4:30 pm \n\nParticipants begin by participating in discussions and activities designed to educate participants about culture and diversity.  This session will be used as a model to demonstrate instructional design principles and facilitation strategies.\nOverview of Adult Learning Principles\nApplication Segments with Feedback\n\nDays 3\, 4 & 5  (January 22\, 23\, 24\, 2018)  Daily 8:30 am – 4:30 pm \n\nDeeper into Adult Learning Principles: Learning and Instructional Strategies\nFacilitative Training Continuum\nThe Experiential Learning Cycle\nEffective Use of Media\nHandling Difficult Training Situations\nPreparation for Individual Skill Practice\nSkill Practice – 30 minute delivery of a pre-designed training module.\n\nCost: $1000 per participant \nCost with Training DVD (Beyond the Vital Signs): $1500 per participant \n\nPayment must be received to reserve your spot\n100% reimbursement if we are notified of cancellation at least 30 days prior to Day 1 of training\n50% reimbursement if we are notified of cancellation at 7 days prior to Day 1 of training\nNo reimbursement for cancellation notice that is less than 7 days\n\nUpon registration you will receive a commitment form; this signed and completed form is due at least 7 days before the start of this training. \nIn the event of a snowstorm\, the ‘make up’ day will be January 27\, 2018. \nHave questions about Diversity & Cultural Competence Train the Trainer? Contact NH Health & Equity Partnership
