DESCRIPTION:The Impact of Race\, Gender\, and Ethnicity on Business Practices \nJoin students from Southern New Hampshire University for a special community forum to discuss how local businesses in Milford\, NH are embracing diversity. \nMonday\, March 5\, 2018\n12:00 PM – 1:00 PM\nWadleigh Memorial Library\n(Keyes Meeting Room)\n49 Nashua Street\, Milford\, NH \nLunch will be provided. \nThis forum is held as part of a special topics course that students are\ntaking to examine the intersections of race\, gender\, and ethnicity on\nbusiness practices using Milford\, NH as a “live” case study. A focal point\nof the history of Milford\, NH is Harriet Wilson who was an indentured\nslave and also an entrepreneur. Her personal story and experiences in\nMilford provides the historical context against which students will tackle\nthe topic of diversity in conjunction with modern business practices.
