DESCRIPTION:This year our Annual GLENDI Festival will take place Friday Sept 13th\, Saturday Sept 14th\, and Sunday Sept 15th. \nGLENDI is an annual Grecian Festival held every September and hosted on the grounds of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Manchester\, NH. It was originally called the Greek Bazaar and brings people together from all around NH to celebrate Greek Heritage. \nCome celebrate with us and enjoy the fun with many special features such as Greek cuisine & pastries\, Jewelry booth showcasing beautiful Grecian imports/jewelry\, Greek coffee shop serving Greek demitasse\, an Aegean Market featuring food and clothing\, a Taverna featuring Greek beer and wine\, Raffles (mini\, multi & century) and so much more.

DESCRIPTION:Abby Hutchinson’s Sweet Freedom Songs: Songs and Stories of the Struggle for Abolition and Woman Suffrage\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDeborah Anne Goss appears as Abby Hutchinson Patton\, recalling mid-19th-century U.S. and New Hampshire history and performing rousing anthems\, heartfelt ballads\, and humorous ditties sung during anti-slavery and early women’s rights struggles. In the 1840s and 1850s the Hutchinson Family Singers strongly influenced the opinions of the era with their popular songs promoting healthy living and social justice-most prominently the abolition of slavery. Participants are encouraged to join in the singing on several choruses or read a poem or political diatribe of the time.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 2nd Annual Nashua Multicultural Festival on September 15 from 1-5 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Gym on Main Street! \nThis FREE event\, which is organized by the Nashua Mayor’s Office and the Nashua Multicultural Festival Planning Committee\, will feature multicultural food\, art\, dance and more! Free samples of foods from a variety of countries will be provided (first come\, first served). \nAbout\nThe Multicultural Festival is part of Nashua’s celebration of Welcoming Week\, an annual series of events where communities bring together immigrants\, refugees\, and native-born residents to raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone. Learn more about Welcoming Week at the Welcoming America website. \nIn September 2016\, the City of Nashua adopted legislation to officially become a Welcoming City. Since then\, the City and community partners have worked hard to incorporate welcoming initiatives into the daily life of our community. This event is also an opportunity to celebrate the two-year anniversary of Nashua becoming a Welcoming City.
