Online – Overcoming the Barrier of the English Language

In conjunction with the U.S. Committee of Refugees and Immigrants of Vermont (USCRI-VT), the American Red Cross of Northern New England will be hosting a live lecture, focusing on the challenges faced by refugees during their resettlement process. With a specific focus on refugee resettlement in VT, our guest speaker is the current Education Program Director of the USCRI-VT in Colchester, VT. An examination of the efforts at the USCRI-VT to ensure education programs in English, as well as other educational programming, for refugees and New Americans will occur during this one hour lecture.
