Manchester Welcoming Week 2017 Kick-Off Party
This event is FREE and open to everyone, but space is limited so please RSVP in advance via the link under “Details” below.
Join Welcoming Manchester in celebrating the beginning of Welcoming Week 2017 at our kick-off celebration. Enjoy food, music, cultural performances, speakers, and art all centered around the theme of welcoming immigrants, refugees, and everyone to our wonderfully diverse city.
We are proud to have Officer Baddaoui as one of our guest speakers. Officer Baddaoui came to Manchester, NH as a refugee in 2000, and he is now proudly serving his city as a police officer with the Manchester Police Department. We hope you’ll join us in hearing his story and celebrating how embracing diversity strengthens our city!
We are also delighted to have Basra Mohamed joining us! Basra is an attorney with Catholic Charities Immigration and Refugee Services, and she will speak about her experience as a newcomer to New Hampshire and what the term “Welcoming community” means to her.
This kick-off party will be held at Jupiter Hall, a brand new event hall in downtown Manchester. We are honored to host this event in partnership with Jupiter Hall for their grand opening! Come hear what Jupiter Hall envisions for this new space in the Manchester community!
Refreshments will be provided, and we have some fun surprises in store!
