Concord – 45,000 Quilt Celebration

Free45,000 Quilt celebration event on September 12th, 10AM, at Eagle Square in Concord, NH.
Sept. 12-20, 2020 is Welcoming Week – a time to celebrate the New Americans in our community.
Please join the Kent St. Coalition’s Human Rights Working Group and the American Friends Service Committee as we showcase this monumental labor of love.
The 45,000 Quilt, when completed, will have 45 squares, each with 1,000 marks. 45,000 is the average daily number of people detained by ICE in 2019. Artists and activists from 12 states and Oaxaca, Mexico have created 34” by 34” squares. When completed the quilt will be 45 feet long!
