Concord – Cultural and Linguistic Competency Workshop

Workshop Objectives:
At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:
1. Demonstrate increased self-awareness of racial, ethnic and class biases.
2. Define cultural and linguistic competency and indicate familiarity with the stages of
cultural competency (or continuum).
3. Describe the implications of demographic trends for health disparities.
4. Identify links between racial and health inequities and health disparities.
5. Integrate National CLAS Standards into practice and service providing.
6. Describe how cultural beliefs shape clinical encounters and patients’ health outcomes.
7. Incorporate cultural and linguistic competence into service providing.

There is no cost to attend. Lunch will be provided.
