Fall Workshop Series:
Black Minds Matter, each Wednesday beginning October 10th-December 12th, 4-6 p.m. Locations vary (NHIOP, Gadbois 205, then Roger and Francine Jean Student Complex Auditorium-see CTE calendar)
The CTE has registered as a “replay” site for the online course “Black Minds Matter” a program organized through Dr. J. Luke Wood of UCLA. The on-line program includes 9 lectures and panel discussions along with a supplementary reading list. Each topic aligns with research on supporting academic success for black men and boys. On campus, in person group discussion will follow the video each week. Lectures may be viewed on campus beginning at 4 p.m., or participants may also view the lectures on-line prior joining the face-to-face discussion on campus. Local educators will be invited to join our on-campus community.
This event is free, but registration is required for non-campus participants. Register here
