LISA PALMER
Journalist Lisa Palmer has traveled the world documenting the cutting-edge innovations of people on the front lines of fighting the food gap. She will share the story of the epic journey to solve the imperfect relationship between two of our planet’s greatest challenges: climate change and global hunger, as chronicled in her new book, Hut, Hungry Planet. NH link: Did you know our state’s farms have been increasing (including a big rise in young farmers) and 30% of agricultural sales to the public come from local farms? But, a longer growing season due to climate change could mean higher heat stress and new pressure from invasive weeds and pests.
