Manchester – MLK Day Celebration at Currier Museum

Join the Currier Museum for a free community celebration of Dr. King with renowned New Hampshire artist Richard Haynes, as he leads a public discussion and mural project focusing on the enduring themes of hope and resilience from the civil rights movement. https://currier.org/event/martin-luther-king-jr-day/

Learn more about Dr. King’s legacy, make collaborative art, see work from local schools, and take a special highlight tour connected to this mural project!

In honor of Dr. King’s commitment to community service, the museum is working with Waypoint to collect new socks, comfortable clothing, and personal hygiene items to support displaced youth.  This free community program is presented in partnership with Citizens.

12 pm: Community mural led by Richard Haynes
1 pm: “Infinite Hope” Tour, meets in lobby
2 pm: “Infinite Hope” Tour, meets in lobby
4 pm: Community mural reveal
4:15 pm: Screening of “I Have a Dream” speech
