The Impact of Race, Gender, and Ethnicity on Business Practices

Join students from Southern New Hampshire University for a special community forum to discuss how local businesses in Milford, NH are embracing diversity.

Monday, March 5, 2018
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Wadleigh Memorial Library
(Keyes Meeting Room)
49 Nashua Street, Milford, NH

Lunch will be provided.

This forum is held as part of a special topics course that students are
taking to examine the intersections of race, gender, and ethnicity on
business practices using Milford, NH as a “live” case study. A focal point
of the history of Milford, NH is Harriet Wilson who was an indentured
slave and also an entrepreneur. Her personal story and experiences in
Milford provides the historical context against which students will tackle
the topic of diversity in conjunction with modern business practices. We
invite you to be a part of this timely conversation!
