FreeCelebrating #ADA30:
The Intersection of Race & Disability Keynote by LeDerick Horne
As part of ABLE NH’s series celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, we are honored to have LeDerick Horne join us on July 21st at 7 PM to share a keynote presentation on the intersection of race and disability.
Great strides toward equity for people with disabilities have been made in the past 30 years, but there is still so much work to do. Our liberation is bound up together, and LeDerick will discuss how New Hampshire can move forward toward justice for all.
Diagnosed with a learning disability in the third grade, LeDerick is a spoken word poet, a motivational speaker, and an advocate for people with disabilities. His work addresses the challenges of all disabilities, uniting the efforts of diverse groups in order to achieve substantive, systemic change.
This event is cosponsored by Granite State Organizing Project, the Disability Rights Center of New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Council on Developmental Disabilities, the Manchester Inclusion and Equity Committee, and the New Hampshire Office of Health Equity.
Preregistration by 6 PM on July 21st is required to receive a follow-up email containing a secure Zoom link.
