Peterborough – Unframing the Narrative

Two writers of color, Dr. Thawra Yousif and Letta Neely, read their work and discuss connections between their Afro-Iraqi and African-American worlds, centering their conversation around resilience, family, and stratagems of disenfranchisement that have affected them both. Afterward, playwright Amy Merrill and Letta Neely will discuss the collective work being done by women from the Middle East and the U.S. via Her Story Is: Women Building Bridges through the Arts.
