Rosh Hashanah (Jewish)

Rosh Hashanah is known as the Jewish New Year. Rosh Hashanah starts on the first day of Tishri, which is the seventh month in the Jewish calendar, and may last for two days. It is marked by the blowing of the shofar, and begins the ten days of penitence culminating in Yom Kippur.
